Worship

"But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth;
for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.
'God is spirit , and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.'"
John 4:23-24 (NASB)

Worship consists of so much more than music.  The Bible teaches us that we should offer all that we are to God as a living and holy sacrifice.  It tells us that this is our spiritual service of worship (Romans 12:1).  If we incorporate this principle into the life of God's church, we will find that the times we gather together as God's people will be more about Him and less about us.  What will you bring to the King this week as you approach His throne to worship Him?

New Hope Baptist Church strives to focus everything we do on lifting up the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.  This includes the way we approach the times we spend together.  Corporate worship times at New Hope include Scripture reading, prayer, preaching the Word of God, drama, and a variety of vibrant music.  You see, there is only One who is worthy of all of our worship and He is the One that we seek when we gather together.  Come and see!

There are many different ways to be involved in the musical part of the worship ministry at New Hope Baptist Church.  There is an adult choir, children's choir for grades K-6, and also a 6-member praise band.  Rehearsal times for the various groups are as follows:

Adult Choir:  Wednesday evening @ 7:30 pm
Children's Choir:  Sunday evening @ 6:15 pm
