Why does this church exist?
The purpose of this church is summarized in a single sentence based on two key passages of Scripture:
"We believe that a great commitment to the great Commandment and the great Commission will grow a great Church."

The Great Commandment: "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" And He said to him, " 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' "This is the great and foremost commandment. "The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' "On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."

The Great Commission: "Having gone, therefore, make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always , even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20 (NASB)

Loving God with all your heart, soul, and mind is WORSHIP
Loving your neighbor as yourself is MINISTRY
Having gone and making disciples is EVANGELISM
Teaching disciples to obey all things is DISCIPLESHIP
Gathering together in the name of Christ is FELLOWSHIP

WORSHIP:
"But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. 'God is spirit , and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.' " John 4:23-24 (NASB)

MINISTRY:
"By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." John 13:35 (NASB)
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord." "Now you are Christ's body, and individually members of it." I Corinthians 12:4-5, 27 (NASB)

EVANGELISM:
"for 'WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.' How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?" Romans 10:13-14 (NASB)

DISCIPLESHIP:

FELLOWSHIP:

What does this church believe?

At New Hope Baptist Church, we believe that the Bible is God's Word. We believe that it is complete and without error. We believe that there is no substitute for the Word of God in finding instruction and direction for daily life.
